Friends Book Sale!
The Friends Used Book Sale will open at 6 pm on Thursday, Oct. 16 and run through Sunday, Oct. 19 in the Library Meeting Room during Iola’s Farm City Days celebration.
Join the Friends at the door on Thursday night for $5 to access the Members’ only preview!
This year’s sale features donated fiction and nonfiction books, paperbacks, VINYL albums, Playaway digital audiobooks, and library discards all available for a free will donation.

Sale Hours:
Thursday: 6-8 pm Members’ Preview, Join at the door for $5.
Friday: 10-8 pm
Saturday: 10-4 pm
Sunday: 1-4 – $1 per bag
The book sale is one of two major fundraisers for the Friends group. Last year’s sale raised over $1,300 in membership dues and donations.
The Everything Chocolate Sale scheduled for February 14 is our other big event.
Friends of the Library are a group of supporters whose mission is:
- To establish a closer relationship between the library and the public it serves.
- To promote increased knowledge of the functions, resources, services, and needs of the library.
- To advocate and seek adequate public and private funds to assure quality library and information services.
