We have a full month of activities planned for November!
Along with our monthly and weekly activities, like storytime, In Stitches, YA In Stitches, Book Talk, Old Timers Talking, and now Genealogy Assistance, we have several EXTRA events to share:
- Saturday, Nov. 1: 2nd Annual Art Fest Craft booths for all ages from 10am-2pm
- Thursday, Nov. 6: Iola Reads Movie Night We will be showing the Hidden Figures movie in the Iola Library Room at 6:30 pm. Refreshments and Prizes!
- Saturday, Nov 8: Creative Canvas: From 2-5 pm, Bridget is returning to show us how to make another amazing painting. Must pre-register with Bridget. Cost is $25 per painter
- Monday, Nov 10: Technology Assistance will be available from 4-6 pm with a focus on job and resume help.
- Tuesday, Nov. 11: Allen County Regional Hospital will be here for their Lunch & Learn. Discussion topic will be Women’s Health. Call Courtney at (620) 365-1021 to reserve your spot.
- Thursday, Nov 13: Death Cafe is at 6:30 pm. Come have honest conversations about death over coffee, tea, and treats. This is not a therapy or support group, but everyone can openly share. This is a safe, welcoming space to listen, connect, reflect, and share a laugh or two!
- Wednesday, Nov 19: Dinner on a Dime will be meeting at the K-State Extension Office for Pink Spaghetti.
- Thursday, Nov. 20: Craft Night at 6 pm, register at the library to make denim bracelets with Jen!
- Thursday, Nov. 27 & Friday, Nov. 28: We will be CLOSED for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We will reopen on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 9 am.
Youth Activities for October include:
- Storytimes with Ms. Lesa on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 am, Nov. 5, Nov. 12, and Nov. 19.
- Nov. 7 at 10:30 am: 1st Friday Storytime
- Nov. 18 at 4 pm: STEM Party
