Match Month starts November 1st!
Please support the Iola Public Library during our annual fundraising campaign and champion:
- literacy and a lifelong love of reading,
- community enrichment with programming, and
- access to both new and necessary technology.
The Iola Public Library Board has set an ambitious fundraising goal of $11,000 for this year, a 10% increase over last year.
Interest earned by the Endowment Fund are used every year to supplement the Library’s operating budget, helping support programs and services. This year, your gifts will grow the principal of the Endowment Fund, but the Library will also be given back a portion of the proceeds for immediate use.
So, your gift, when given during Match Month from November 1-30, will both meet our immediate needs and grow the library’s Endowment Fund.
Details from our partners at Your Community Foundation (YCF):
Match Month is a community giving campaign that helps local nonprofits build permanent endowment funds held at Your Community Foundation. This year, 50% of every donation/match will be added to the nonprofit’s endowment, while the remaining 50% can be used immediately to support its mission. Endowment funds are invested for long-term growth, providing nonprofits with reliable annual income while preserving the principal for future generations.
Donations are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law and YCF will send you a charitable gift receipt.

What is Match Month?
Your Community Foundation partners with donors, nonprofits, and community leaders to strengthen Allen County through philanthropy.
During Match Month (November 1-30), your gift helps nonprofits make an impact today while building a stronger future. Half of each gift supports current programs, projects, and services that meet the needs of the people they serve. The other portion is invested in the nonprofit’s endowment, creating a growing source of support for years to come.
Endowments are designed to grow over time, helping nonprofits generate ongoing funding while continuing to make a difference in our community today.
Thanks to the Patterson Family Foundation, every eligible gift made during November will be matched by up to 25%. To unlock the full match, our community must come together to raise $200,000 this year.
