The Library Littles playdate is held on the 3rd Thursday each month in our meeting room at the Iola Public Library. This is a free monthly event.
The intended audience for these playdates is birth to 3 years of age and their grownup. During this playtime, we’ll have 5-6 stations set up where the littles can Talk, Read, Sing, Write and Play and we strongly encourage the grownups to get down with the littles and engage in play.
We also will have a special guest each month that is a professional in their field and will relate to children and their growth. They will speak for just a few minutes and then will remain the duration of playtime in case any of the grownups have any questions for them.

We have added a second session to allow better coverage for those that would like to participate in these playdates. The morning session is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the afternoon session is from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The gap in between the sessions allows time for all of the toys and equipment to be thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and reset. Each month’s playdate is different and will have different stations.

We do encourage registration as there is a limit of 25 people in the room per session. Please contact us either by our website, Facebook or telephone to register your little one. Those that are registered will receive a courtesy reminder call the day before the scheduled playdates.
