Iola Reads announces the 2022 Young Adult Selection of The Girl in the Locked Room by Mary Downing Hahn. Copies of the book are provided in tubs throughout town to take, read, and share.
If you’d like to keep a copy, the Library will accept your $2 donation.

Storyteller Priscilla Howe will be in Iola on Thursday, October 20 to visit the local schools and share spooky stories with the community at the Bowlus Fine Arts Center at 7 pm.

The Iola Public Library is hosting a (slightly) haunted maze through the stacks on Saturday, October 29 from 7 to 8:30 pm for ages 0-11.

Tubs are available at: The Library, Community National Bank, Iola Vision Source, the Senior Center, the City of Iola utilities office, the Townhouse, Fillmore Coffee house + Plant Café, Iola Pharmacy, G&W, Community Health Center of SEK, Bennett Laundry, Family Physicians, and Allen Community College library.
