SENIORS: PASSWORD PROBLEMS? SPAM? Stymied by your mobile phone? Join us Fri., Dec. 27 at 2:00 for Old-Timers Talking, the monthly chat group for seniors. Darrin Dougherty, tech consultant for SEK Library Systems, will be here with tech tips and problem-solving for people over 55.
He will be introducing TechWise, a new public awareness campaign aimed at improving digital literacy of Southeast Kansas seniors. The campaign includes print, online and video content designed for seniors who have varying levels of comfort and understanding about the vast array of technologies that now drive day-to-day-life. Easy-to-use and share content is designed to assist families in becoming more familiar with and safe in a system that didn't exist when they were born or even when some were in the workforce.
TechWise is a collaborative project of the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center--Greenbush, SEK Area Agency on Aging, Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas, and the Southeast Kansas Library System.
